Douglas Morrow – Associate Professor / Internship coordinator – the Lawrence Herbert School of communication, Associate Professor – Department of Radio/Television/Film is also a writer/producer, idea generator and television/film production coordinator. Professor Morrow has combined a career in television and music with teaching and media education. For more than two decades his production company, D.A.M. Video Inc., has contracted with a broad range of clients — HBO, Madison Square Garden, MTV, VHI, Various food television productions, the Staler Center for the Arts, PBS, the Suffolk Theater, United Nations Television, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, the Sierra Club, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame to name only a few — to write, produce, light, shoot, edit and consult in almost every genre of television. The focus of Doug’s work has become producing materials for non-for-profits and the arts. Before joining the faculty at Hofstra University, Professor Morrow taught at Rutgers University Newark, St. John’s University, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
On a personal note, Doug lives on the North Fork of Long Island with his wife Diane and son Antonio. He stays active in the New York music scene. He is a semi – professional beach bum when time allows.
